At Second Chance Ranch Rescue, we want to help our community to prevent surrenders, rather than just solve them. The alarming need for rehoming of dogs, especially those who are misunderstood is why we started Second Chance Ranch. At the Ranch, all of our dogs receive conditioning, love, socialization, and basic training to help develop their skills, confidence and capabilities while they wait for their forever home. Second Chance Ranch is focused on finding the right match between you and our dogs and will invest all the time and effort needed to do so.

Our Mission

To rehabilitate and give a second chance to lost, forgotten, or misunderstood dogs in order to help them find their furever home.

To reduce adoption return and failure rates by implementing a thorough adopter evaluation process, which includes ensuring a strong human/dog match, adopter education and adoption integration plans.

To offer a safe and well suited environment for dogs within our community to play, practice socialization skills and improve overall behavior.

To work with our communities to raise awareness about the misconceptions of bully type breeds and rescue dogs, the challenges associated with rescue work, and the many ways individuals can support dogs in need.

Adopting from The Ranch

At Second Chance Ranch Rescue, we think about adoption like match making - we want to find the human & dog couple that is as close to perfect as possible and we're willing to invest lots of time and energy into ensuring the relationship is successful and fulfilling!

Because of this, our adult dog adoption timeline can be 1-2 weeks. Our puppy adoption timeline is much faster so we can get puppies into their homes ASAP. We strongly believe in supporting a family through the life of the dog. Basically, that just means we're always going to be here for you, if you ever need us!
